The Takeuchi TB235 is a 3.5-ton class compact excavator, successor to the TB135 in the US market. The factory engine code is 3TNV88-BPTB2. CRITICAL INJECTION NOTE: late TB235-2 and TB230 machines were fitted with the 3TNV88F instead - an ELECTRONIC GOVERNOR engine with EGR. Yanmar built the 3TNV88F specifically because US regulations require an altitude-compensation system on the injection pump, which can only be implemented with electronic governing. A mechanical 3TNV88 is NOT a substitute for a 3TNV88F machine, and this is the single most common ordering error on this platform. Confirm the exact suffix on your data plate.
