The Dixie Chopper XCD74 runs the 88 mm Yanmar three-cylinder, and we stock it in both fuel systems - mechanical injection and electronic common rail, new surplus and rebuilt. Which one you need comes down to what is on your data plate, not what is on the machine badge.

WHAT WE FIT TO YOUR MACHINE.
On a commercial mower the engine runs at full governed rpm for hours at a time, driving the deck and the hydrostatic transmission. Pulleys, brackets, oil pan and cooling package all have to match the machine - all external, all transferable from your old engine. This is also exactly the application where a fixed-speed generator engine will not do, and where the correct variable-speed governor matters.
MECHANICAL OR COMMON RAIL - THIS IS THE ONE THING YOU MUST MATCH.
The Yanmar 3TNV88 comes in two fuel systems and they are not interchangeable
