The 3TNV84 in your Gehl 3635 is getting hard to source. The 3TNV88 replaces it - same block architecture, same 90 mm stroke, same mounting layout, 1.642 L instead of 1.496 L. We carry it new surplus and rebuilt, in mechanical and in common rail.
The Gehl 3635 is a compact radial-lift skid steer loader from Gehl's long-running compact line. Depending on build it carried either the 84 mm or 88 mm Yanmar 3-cylinder - verify the bore on your data plate before ordering.

Engine as fitted to this machine: Yanmar 3TNV84 / 3TNE84. Production years: 1998-2006. Rated output in this machine: approximately approx. 33-36 hp.
WHAT WE FIT TO YOUR MACHINE.
On a skid steer the engine sits transversely behind the operator, driving the hydrostatic pumps directly. The bellhousing, pump coupler, oil pan and cooling package all have to match the machine - they are external parts and they come across from the engine you are replacing.
WHY THE 3TNV88 REPLACES THE 3TNV84.
Yanmar's TNV three-cylinder engines are one family on one architecture - same 90 mm stroke, same block design, same mounting and accessory layout. Only the bore changes
